Lorax and Earth Day

On April 22nd, the world celebrates Earth Day. The Lorax is a Dr. Seuss character who is the "person" who speaks for the trees. Dr. Seuss used this character to symbolize how we should act toward our environment. Earth Day was introduced in the 1970s as national day to focus on our environment and ways to keep it safe. Many schools put on programs to show students ways to keep their environment clean and safe. In my school, we have two garbage cans, one that is for regular trash and one for recycling paper/bottles. We are teaching our students at an earlier age to recycle and keep our earth clean.
